Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Lauren is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over eight years of experience in the mental health field, working with a variety of clients ranging from young adolescents to adults from all walks of life. Some of Lauren's experience includes treating our Nation's Veterans at the VA Hospital, providing therapy for young students with developmental and behavioral needs at a residential school, and caring for patients with immediate needs in an Emergency Department setting.
Some of Lauren's preferred treatment strategies
include cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and play therapy. She believes that using a strengths-based perspective and understanding a client's current mindset is critical to their success. She has a kind and empathetic approach, but challenges her clients to improve to meet their goals.
Lauren's education includes an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Bay State College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Curry College, and a Master's Degree in Social Work from the Boston University School of Social Work.
